At Hill Country Estate, we craft wines that capture the essence of Hawke’s Bay’s limestone-rich soils and coastal climate. Established in 2004, our vineyards on the western slopes of Te Mata Peak are hand-tended to produce wines of purity, elegance, and depth.
A Deeper Purpose
Every bottle from Hill Country Estate carries a purpose beyond the glass. All profits from our wine sales are directed to Cape Sanctuary, New Zealand’s largest privately owned and funded mainland wildlife restoration project. Through this partnership, we contribute to landscape‑scale conservation and biodiversity recovery across the Cape Kidnappers Peninsula. For every bottle sold, we also commit to planting native trees, supporting habitat regeneration and helping restore ecological balance for future generations.
